Keeping up with my night photography practice

Last weekend Flo and I went to his hometown, Emmerich. At night, I was really eager to test my new mini-tripod and take a few night pictures at the fields. It was one of my 2017 goals to learn how to take great long-exposure shots (read this), but the truth is that I barely practiced in winter.

Today I just wanted to share a few of the shots, which in the end were not of the fields (I should have brought a bigger tripod for that –the grass alone was taller than my tripod). The pics were taken with my so-called party camera, my Fujifilm-xm1, with a 35mm prime lens. I can’t wait to see the last pictures printed and hanging on my home’s walls –I love the lights’ play!
